I feel like I need to take another break. I can’t seem to hear myself.

Lemon and ginger and cinnamon and honey.

He doesn’t want to come, but I know he’ll love it. He always does.

I already want to take a nap and it’s only 10:30. I remind myself that this will wear off.

It’s not foggy today which means that there is so much more to see: more cows, more hills, more tilted barns.

I can see the driver looking over towards the water and swerving into our lane.

Up on the sand dune, I find half a wing of some coastal bird and an intact crab shell.
