It’s hot today. It must be 80 degrees again. Even in the shade, you can feel it.

I clean up the leftovers and then take myself on a walk.

One large rock covered in moss sitting on the side of the road. I think of how she told me that there was a rockslide by that bride a few years ago. Golden light on the hillside where the grass is going to seed. I watch the tall thin stalks sway in the wind.
