  2. I say I’m not going to drink, but I drink it anyway. I’m going to stop telling myself that I’m not going to drink it anymore.

  5. We put our blanket down underneath the tree. I like it here. I’m glad we have the early game before the afternoon heat kicks in.

  6. Beers and baseball talk and kid talk and shared philosophies.

  7. The good things take time.

  8. A win.

  9. Under the weighted blanket for another nap. We both agree that the first night of sleep was exceptional. Will it continue?

  10. We’re both so tired. “The heat,” I say. “And life.”
