Everyone wants to eat tonight’s dinner for their lunch. The smell of sausage and tomatoes - “it smells like pizza.”

He says he’s surprised by how long I’m staying here. There is potential. It is not pretty, but I am trying to use my imagination to see what’s possible. So much is possible.

Hammock time. One book. Two jars of water. No sound but the birds.

Crawfish boil. Cool breezes. Good wine. Laughs. Boysenberry pie and ice cream to celebrate.
