Ten.One Thousand, Five Hundred & Seventy-Nine

  1. I already know before I look at the clock.

  2. My mind runs through all of the things.

  3. Found the hashbrowns.

  4. Salad and soup. Gluten-free Tate’s chocolate chip cookies. A cup of decaf coffee.

  5. I sit on a bucket and scrub down the ladder. My mind drifts to things I’d rather not think about. But scrubbing is the best thing I could be doing.

  6. The stab of uncertainty.

  7. Tomorrow.

  8. What if there is nothing that can be done?

  9. Running helps, too.

  10. They have a Christmas tree up. I’m not mad about it.
